What was the first computer that you owned that ran on a Microsoft operating system?

Dos 1.0 babeee! Edlin 0wnZ j00!

My dad got one of the first IBM PC's. It came with a green monochrome monitor and two floppy drives. He later added a 10 meg hard drive for $2000! :Q

/edit Before that, we were proud owners of an Apple II+
Ahhh... I miss the days of CATALOG and BRUN! :D

IBM 386 with Windows 3.0 and later I believe 3.11 for Workgroups. Can't forget the dot-matrix printer...

If DOS counts...it was a Leading Edge 8086 (I believe). I remember it running DOS 3.something

If you're referring to Windows then it was a Compaq 486 w/ Windows 3.1

Before the Leading Edge, I had a Kaypro II (well actually it was my dad's) that ran a version of CP/M.

Between the Leading Edge and the Compaq I used a Mac SE/30, which got me through High School and most of College, I did end up spending time in the computer labs when whatever complier we were using wouldn't work with the PC emulator on the Mac.

286 of some sort. Don't remember what version of DOS was running on it. This was back in 87 or 89, can't remember.

IIRC (this was like 16-17 years ago), my first MS PC was a Tandy 1000 with an 8088, 128KB, a 5-1/4" and 3-1/2" floppy, no hard drive and MS-DOS 2.x
Been a long, long time so I can't recall quite all the details. I do remember that you booted from floppy and that I didn't like it as much as the AppleII that I had had before it because MS-DOS was pretty stripped of features back then compared to Apple-DOS.

A Wang PC with a 4.77 MHz 8088 CPU (I think). Probably 360K dual-floppy with 128 KB RAM (maybe more in add-on card).

The thing was big and ugly, and not even IBM PC compatible. It ran an OEM'd version of MS DOS if I'm not mistaken.

486 66mhz. Ran DOS on it (bunch of different versions) and I think early versions of windows. Changed over to this from a Apple IIe.
