Metal Warriors

OH GOD YES THAT GAME ROCKED! I never could remember the name of that game. But me and my friends would rent it and play that thing for HOURS straight in the vs mode. It was SOOOOO much fun.

I can't pick one favorite SNES game though. It's really a tie between Earthbound and Super Mario RPG: Legend of the 7 Lost Stars. I still play them every once n a while for the nostalgia value.

You can't just pick one. Besides the ones already mentioned:

Actraiser. (launch title?) A combination of action + a little bit of sim which the 2nd one failed to capture.

Street Fight II. The reason it's no longer mentioned anymore because we've seen so many incarnation of it on just about every console. Back in the SNES days, this was the number one selling game of all time.

Smash TV. The game version of "The Running Man". Just down-right arcade fun.

Some of my favorite SNES games are Zelda, Illusion of Gaia, Secret of Mana, and Super Mario World.

However, Chrono Trigger stands above them all. That was such an awesome game.

Worst -> Skydive! (You literally fall from the sky for ~15min. then try to land in a target area, like in Pilotwings)

For the record, Pilotwings was freakin awesome.
