Only memorable thing i've found was a Ka-Bar knife in its sheath up in the mountains near a marine base. Still have it in a drawer somewhere.

A diamond (no casing or ring)... but I have not had it officially appraised. It may be CZ or Moissanite, or even the real thing. I don't know... I pretty much forgot about it till now.

I found it at a rink I play at but how do you go about finding the rightful owner of a single diamond? So I brought it home. Was never a sign put up for it by a person who may have lost it.

While fishing a couple of years ago I got snagged on the clay bottom, pulled for about 10 minutes and came up with a bag that had a jewelery box made of ivory and inlaid copper, and inside the box were 3 very thick and heavy gold chain bracelets and a gold horsehead medalion. Must have been in the clay/mud fo a long time. Don;t know the karat as there are no markings but it looks to be pure gold. Nice find.

When my older brother was younger, we were at the local town park/pool and he found a diamond in the wood chips of the playground.

The most expensive thing I've ever found was probably a $20 bill.

Last week. I found 14 dollars in a jacket I haven't worn since last year. I think those "forgotten" bills are always the best find.

My watch. Lost it in Central London one night and realized it wasnt on my wrist when we were almost home. Paid the cabbie 50 GBP to take us back to the spot he picked us up and AMAZINGLY found it within 15 minutes of searching on the street!!!!!

Funny thing is, if we werent so drunk I never would have been crazy enough to think I could even find it in a city so big. LOL Lucky for us, it must have fell off close to where we were eating our kebabs whilst waiting for a cab.

It wasnt an overly expensive watch, only like $500, but it had a great amount of sentimental value to me.

I found iPod 30GB video last year when walking my dog. It was cold and damp outside and figured it was toast. Got home and plugged into the USB charger and it fired right up. It is stratched on back of the case (whose iPod isn't) and has a dent in the top righ corner, but works great.

My ex-wife. She costs me a fortune in lawyers and wasted time in litigation.
