Not that I would ever get married but... the fact that no one has mentioned "Wedding March" by Mendelssohn or "The Bridal Chorus" by Wagner makes me sick to my stomach. Instead we get a spate of despicable pop music.

You know we're talking about the first slow dance at the reception, not the wedding ceremony itself, right?

No, I didn't know that. Dammit, my awesome comment, ruined. But anyway, all the songs mentioned are despicable even in THAT context. By the way, dance? Haha.

Never given it any thought, pigs will fly high above the 20' high snowdrifts covering Hell before I marry.

We're going to have three in our wedding video -

MXPX - Quit your life
Counting Crows - Accidentally in love
Beach Boys - Wouldn't it be nice

U2's I Still Haven't Found What I'm Looking For

j/k 😀 My actual wedding song (what we danced to during the reception) was U2's cover of Unchained Melody.

quality responses, now why aren't you getting married again? :disgust:

We used I Do by John Tesh. At least I think that's what it was called. We took dance lessons and did a Waltz and such too. Worked really well.

It was Bon Jovi-You Had Me From Hello.

At the mirror you fix your hair and put your makeup on
You're insecure about what clothes to wear
I can't see nothing wrong

To me you look so beautiful when you can't make up your mind
It's half past eight, it's getting late
It's OK, take your time

Standing here my hands in my pockets
Like I have a thousand times
Thinking back it took one breath
One word to change my life

[Chorus:]
The first time I saw you it felt like coming home
If I never told you I just want you to know
You had me from hello

When we walk into a crowded room it's like we're all alone
Everybody tries to kidnap your attention
You just smile and steal the show

You come to me and take my hand
We start dancin' slow
You put your lips up to my ear and whisper way down low

[Chorus:]
From the first time I saw you it felt like coming home
If I never told you I just want you to know
You had me from hello

And when you're laying down beside me
I feel your heartbeat to remind me...

Guitar

[Chorus:]
The first time I saw you it felt like coming home
If I never told you I just want you to know
You had me from hello

From hello
From hello

Mine was "Fields of Gold", a Sting song redone by Eva Cassidy.
Our Wedding Exit March was the "Throne Room Entrance" at the conclusion of "Star Wars". I wanted her entrance song to be "Vaders March" but she wouldn't do it.
