A flawed ideology.

Can you be more specific? Because the people that cared most about Iraq, Education, Health Care and the Economy voted mostly for Kerry. What part of his ideology do you mean?

I tell you what. You show me something solid that backs this up, that is not anecdotal, and I will entertain your desire for specificity.

How about CNN stats? scroll down about 2/3 of the way to where it says "Most Important Issue".

Heh heh. Exit polls are anecdotal. 11-2 proved that.

We on the right don't need your crazy "science" and "math". Exit polls are actually pretty accurate once you take the margin of error into account. It would allow for a couple of percent, like Bush's margin of victory. But not enough to explain the 73% or better Kerry got on the 4 issues I mentioned (Iraq, the Economy, Health Care and Education). Calling them anecdotal shows some great ignorance on your part.

By the way, those "anecdotal" most important issue polls gave Bush a 2.4% lead over Kerry. That's off by less than 1%. The probability of the issue polls being totally wrong and the overall results being that close is pretty small.

"Heh heh", try again. The facts seem to support what I said, so let's here your side of it. And by chance, do you have any numbers or facts to back it up?

I think there wasnt a single issue that killed Kerry. Just a combination of things.

1. Democrats expected new voters to vote democrat. It doesnt appear that is what happened.
2. Didnt really layout any plans to the American people. Spent too much time pointing out what he thought were mistakes by his opponent. That is fine to do at times. But you cant run an entire campaign on that. People never really heard a concrete msg from him and what he was going to do. Telling people to visit his website sounds lazy and out of touch.
3. Far left bomb throwers hurt his campaign. They simply turn off moderates who can swing either way.
4. Republicans really had a straight forward message and laid it out well. Especially in the last debate. Bush made it clear what he was planning on doing. Kerry never really made much of anything out of the last debate except throw bombs. It grows old.
5. Moral issues. I think many people did see his campaign as the gay marriage, partial birth abortion, and secularist campaign. I also feel people saw the entire democratic ticket as this because the repubs picked up seats in both the house and the senate.
6. He is a NE elistist. Southerners do not trust people from the north. Especially liberals from Mass. They needed somebody from the South who can carry a state like GA or FL.
7. Backlash against the elite media. People just got sick of the media trying to smear Bush at every turn.

I am sure there were other issues but those are the ones off the top of my head.

It was the swiftboat veterans. He was in the lead in the polls until then by a big margin. After that, he never really recovered. He partially recovered in the debates but he never took back a commanding lead.

Perhaps they are reporting actual news and you are not paying attention? You have to admit this admin has performed some jaw dropping f3ck ups in the last several years...

Lots of crow being served about now...

Pictures of Kerry windsurfing, what a turd sandwich or Douche, whatever you prefer. Republicans are better politicians; By getting the gay marriage on a lot of ballots was the reason why Kerry lost. The republicans are just one step ahead of the Democrats!!

I hear that. Dems are never going to be ahead if they pander to the GOP's agenda.
Bring it back to the left, screw the liberal moderate centrists.
The republicans are gonna vote for their god blindly.
No need to comprimise they have made it almost impossible for their following to have open minds.
Now we can have a party of forward change instead of trying to grab zombie votes when should be uniting the whole left.

The anti-Christianity in this thread is intense. I sometimes wonder if the the anti-Christianites are following in the footsteps of the enlightened figures of the 20s and 30s who knew that the Jews presented a grave problem to the security of the world and took the necessary steps to subdue them (sarcasm).

Anyway, Kerry lost because he had no viable plan.

Dems who voted REP because they didnt like Kerry. That killed him.

Kerry was NOT a good candidate. We all know that. Dems included.
Be honest - yes, "Anti Bush !" was all nice and good - but "Anti Bush" was abviously NOT enough to win this Election.
