What video cards are better ATI or NVIDIA?

i have chosen to get a 6600gt to go with my a8n-sli and eveully to dual 6800 gts when the price goes down.

My question is waht is the best Vid card for gaming that is under $200?

please give links thanks
 
thanks for the response. my frined keeps saying tht ati si better but he has had trouble with nvidia. does anyone esle have a opinon?
 
Ok lets see now..🙂 NVidia has some awsome products which i prefer.. ATI has a reputation with High priced products...and same performance as an NVIDIA which is 2 times less.. But the new X800 series from ATI are awesome for gaming, and cheaper than new NVIDIAS. Overclocked they are monsters. go to ATI's site for more info 😉
 
6600GT, at the $200 pricepoint. From then on it's all NVidia, currently, though when/if the X800 XL vaporware materializes that will be the card of choice for $300, and another X800/X850 will probably take over the $400 spot.
