O.K. I know this is a stupid question, but I have a old VOODOO(sp) 3 that wont even think about running my brand new game MOHAA- I THOUGHT it would still run with it, but thats what i get for thinking.
Basically, what should I go with- so far the consensus(sp) is the RADEON 8500 but I wanted some of your views and ideas. I'm a hard core gamer with about 150-250 to spend. Isn't there also a VCard that has TV out AND a tuner( or is that a diff. subject?)???? I thought I could watch TV on my PC if I got a 8500- thought it would be a cool extra. Thanks for your input

I have the AIW Radeon with on an A7V with a Bird at 10x13=1300. and I see absolutely no slowdowns whatsoever in MOH single player with max detail at 1024. The game installed and has been playing without a hitch so just imagine with an 8500DV and DDR board.

Wait for the GF4 Ti4200, it performs better than a GF3 and at $199 bones you cant really beat the price, sounds like the exact card you would be looking for. I think it'll be out in about 7 weeks or so, if ya cant wait, the 8500 would more than do the trick. Your best bet is to wait though man, ATI is going to be releasing something to compete with the GF4 line, so prices will be falling shortly.

I might have to disagree with you. I have radeon 64meg SE vivo that's clocked at 260x 230x and it craws even in 800x600 everything on certain levels.

Only when I set 16bit texture quality the game doesn't slow down.

In my system, I've had a GF3, Ti200, Ti500, and Radeon8500 running MOHAA at identical settings. I can tell you that (IMHO) the Radeon8500 is the smoothest, and graphically richest, display on this game. Hope this helps;).
