Ok RC2 I understand now..
Windows XP Professional Release Candidate 2

The beta is the pre RC stage

Pro is the tested version right now..
SO then we have Home and server right?

Server will not be released in this phase.

The new server class OS's will come soon and are undergoing major development to enhance the .NET services ideas behind Microsoft's strategies...

WinXP Home will replace Win98/ME and WinXP Pro will replace Win2000 Pro.

For now Win2000 Server, A.Server, and DCServer will remain the standard server products. Sometime next year Win2002 Server, A.Server, and DCServer will come out.

The Win2002 Server family will be "WinXP" server family, but they aren't using the silly WinXP name. And they aren't being released at the same time as the Desktop/Workstation versions.

From what I understand from marketing, it will be called Windows.net for the new servers. This could change when the product ships though... go fig.
