drunk? this is the os forum...... I use xp/2k and i have mandrake 7.1 i guess and suse and lyorcis(i think), and konppix, but i only use windows ;p but i have all of theses and i brought mandrake from the store.

No, the OS is the distro (Debian, RH, etc.), 'Linux' is the kernel.

I have been using linux for ~1.5 years. I moved from mandrake, to redhat, to suse, to debian, to slackware, then finally found my home with gentoo

For those of you who have tried the 2.5x kernels: How stable is it? I would like to play around with it but I don't want to waste my time if it is worse than windows ME

I also heard the scheduler was messed for desktop use (sound skips alot due to a low priority)
