I had been using an MS Gamepad forever, but realize it probably doesn't have enough to play the latest sports games like Madden or NBA Live.

So what controller do you guys prefer/use (USB) for your PC Sports games?

Nyko Airflo. It works fine for GTAIII but theres ZERO support and you can't set buttons.

I grabbed another controller and returned it because it was so crappy. Sorry for ..... oh right, it was the Gravis AfterShock or Eliminator or something like that. STAY AWAY from that controller. Its horrible (at least in Win2k)

I use a Logitech Wingman Rumblepad. I'm not a big fan of having six buttons on the front instead of 4 like most console controllers, but it's one of the best available.

I'm looking for a good Gamepad as well... GTAIII (and I'm sure many other games) more than just a thumbpad, they need the analog thumbsticks as well for good control while driving. Cordless would be OK, but not a requirement as I hate devices that really chew through the batteries.

So far I've only found a couple decent candidates but don't know if they are any good:

Logitech Cordless Rumblepad (also non-rumble and corded versions of the same gamepad)

Logitech Dual Action (very PS2-like)

Gravis Eliminator Aftershock (this the one you hated tallest1?)

And that's pretty much it... Microsoft doesn't even have a gamepad that I could find with analog thumb-sticks.

Any other suggestions?

Thanks!

i decided on the Logitech Dual Action, since it's like a PS2 basically, and looked sturdy enough

Gravis GamePad Pro. I had the original and played Commander Keen with it. Now most of my friends have this one and it works wonders with emulators. :) Plus it's a steal at less than 20 - and instant USB plug and play - no drivers needed.

MS Sidewinder that plugs into the gameport. I've had it for like 6 years, it's a durable mofo.

PS2 controller with USB adapter, works beautifully. The drivers even have force feedback support.

I have two Logitech Wingman Rumblepad's and I despise them. The pad on this thing sucks so bad. Very bad diagonal tracking because the pad is so notchy.
