What type of PC for video editing and SEO?

I'm getting a more friends help them with SEO and my on video clips editing but, my PC shots down after I use camtasia for a while and can't do multi task. I have:
INTEL core two duo, 4 gigs of ram with one of them used by windows xp.

what can I do to make it work better with low budget.
