True, but the difference is objective. I personally think that if you do any type of fast paced gaming (FPS, etc) , watch a lot of movies on your computer, or don't have the money to spend, that you are better off with a CRT. Otherwise, go for an LCD for the space saved and less heat.
If you buy a good LCD monitor with a fast screen refresh rate, it will be fine for gaming. Good LCD monitors are still expensive, though, you would be better off with a CRT unless you have a bunch to spend.
you might also want to take into consideration the dot pitch LCD monitors. If I remember correctly no manufacturer makes any LCD with a dot pitch smaller than .26mm. Which might be a problem if you are picky about image sharpness.
