What type of material is recommended for cable management?

Was over at performance-pcs.com picking up a few things and thought that I should pick up some cable management stuff. They have a quite a bit and thought i'd ask the veterans here what they recommend.

I don't want to have to pull off any ends and reattach, so maybe spiral wrap. How much should I get as well?

Also, I am ordering some clips that I can place on my board to 'snap' wires into.

Besides those two, anything else?

Thanks

Also, how is 'sleeving' material applied? Do you need to remove the ends of connectors?
Does it just slide over parts?

well, I was (which is great), but was more curious as to peoples preference (quirks, problems, likes, dislikes.)

I like a lot of things done in that thread.

i got the mesh stuff that slides over. Yes, you need to remove the connectors to get a tight fit. My kit came w/ heat shrink tubing and I used that on the ends for a cleaner look. After that I ran my cables behind the mobo tray (had to cut an extra hole). Was quite a bit of work but it looks pretty good.

I use the mesh, i always liked the look of the black mesh (real slick), i even have mesh on my watercooling tubing (3/4 OD). Unfortunately I could never get the hang of heat shrinking, so I use black eletrical tape, looks just as good.

Also be very careful when removing the pins from the connectors so that you dont damage the pin. If you really mutilate the pin it wont stay in the connector and will slip out eventually. If this happens while your computer is on you can kill a video card (if the positive lead becomes disconnected), or set a invertor for a cathode on fire (if the negative ground comes loose), unfortuanately i had the latter happen, no real damage, except an awful smell.

buy zip ties. 99cents or 2bucks a bag. even frys has em:p zip zip zip done! no time wasted, plus, they cinch up tight unlike other methods so they create the most compact forms you can want.
