Hmmm I guess I'll weigh in.

Panasonic 27" TV (not too big, but good enough for my apartment)
Marantz SR-780 Receiver, with the awesome RC 2000 MK II Remote
Boston Acoustics System 9000 speaker system (Micro 90 front speakers, center channel, dipole surrounds, and subwoofer)
Pioneer DV-525 DVD player
Panasonic Showstopper (30 hour ReplayTV)
No VCR hehe, why would I need one?

Just noticed that in the Radio Shack Catalog that came in the mail today, they are selling a 700Watt surround system with Dolby Digital + DTS for 400 bucks.

It has 100x5W per channel output = total 500 W
5 * 100W speakers (center,left(front & rear), right(front & rear)
200W sub woofer.

Sounds good to me. Only thing I dont need one right now.

What I have:

Sony DVD
Technics Amp
2 Large (15" woofers, 3" mid, 1.5" tweeters) front speakers 200W
2 micro swivel speakers for rear.
No center channel as of now, no need of sub woofer, the big woofers create enough low end to rival subs.

Sony 27" TV
Onkyo 110W DTS Receiver
Onkyo CD and Tape
Sony S-770 DVD
B&W 6" Speakers
B&W Center Channel
Definitive 15" Subwoofer
Cambridge Soundworks Surround Sound Speakers
Old JVC Hifi SVHS VCR

Anyone know anything about that Sony 32" Digital Vega TV? I can't seem to find any info or reviews on it but I saw alot of places advertising it for $1,995. Is it really digital or HDTV ready?

BTW: How are those 32-36" Vegas anyway?

Nice system ICSVortex. I used to have Celestions too (not as good as yours though). I loved them until I blew them out having a pissing contest with the neighbors over who can be louder at 3AM. I didn't know the speakers were rated at 70W when my Amp was 140W (Doh!). Marantz system is nice too.

I used to have a pretty nice system. It's still nice to listen to, but it's getting long in the tooth.

Mitsubishi 27" TV
Yamaha Pro Logic A/V Receiver
Samsung DVD
JVC SVHS VCR
Panasonic VCR
Technics 5 CD Carousel
Technics Dual Cassette Deck
Polk Speakers

LMAO. Funny and true, how often do you see that combo?

HOT-

See previous post. Sony video good, audio bad at least in all my experience. Very expensive to repair also. (at a SONY shop)

This doesn't include my music system:

Mitsubishi 60" RPTV-HDTV
JVC DVD Player
TIVO - 117 hours
JVC Receiver
KLH Speakers
KLH Sub

Not bad for a very low-end system. Only the TV is not low-end, and the TIvO was free.

A friend of mine reviews these for all the magazines.
He says Pioneer actually makes them for alot of other companies.
Philips and Marantz for example. Try Etronics.com for a good price. I think they have 'em for $222.00.

I'm not sure what I have; it's difficult to tell over the sea of speakers, subwoofers, and video game systems. I'm pretty sure there's a tv in there somewhere. Often when I'm untangling myself from the speaker wire my husband will put a dvd movie in and subsequently blast me out of the room with digital sound. so I'm assuming there's a dvd player in there somewhere.
My couch is a slipcovered subwoofer and my side table is a base amp.:D

We've got a white bedsheet pinned up and our trusy maglite as the powerhouse behind that. We're looking to upgrade to something halogen soon, it really helps to bring out the edges of the shadow puppets. For our listening enjoyment we smack pots and pans with big spoons. If we have company over, hey we got surround sound.

Seriously though, I don't even have cable :(

icsvortex:

Panasonic DVD-H1000 Progressive Scan Single-Disc DVD player($1,999.99)

are you seriously saying that you spent $2000 on a dvd player...? honestly, do you think the picture is *that* much better that it would justify that kind of a pricetag? for that kind of price i'd expect the actors to come to my house and act the damn movie in my living room. ;)

syf3r,
I can't really believe ICSVortex's system is what he claims. Come on, $20k for a home theatre system? I think he is just playing us;)
