Haha that's great. And yeah Beaver Tails are pretty much a Canadian icon... not sure why we don't have em here in the north. They'd probably do well.
If you get a chance you gotta get some Newfie Poutine...it's amazing

I guess italian beefs, deep dish pizza, and hot dogs are Chicago areas most famous/popular foods. However, we have access to more or less everything.

being of Ukrainian descent, I miss homemade cabbage rolls and potato pancakes both topped with sour creme.

Being from Kolkata in India I love my fish curry and rice, not too spicy though. The summer here is peaking and the days are hot with the mercury hitting 40C (104F). A simple fish curry with steamed rice does the job perfectly! Followed by some cold curd. :)

Back home in Montreal, aside from the assorted cuisine that's available that came from other parts of the world, poutine and smoked meat stand out as Quebecois staples. Here in Edmonton, lots of beef and bison. Oh.. and there is Donair here.

Two things I make, got some eastern European on my mom's side of the family. But we only use sour cream on the potato pancake, never on stuffed cabbage.

Just..... no. I've eaten in a lot of NYC's 'upper scale' restaurants. They are good, but it simply doesn't compare to the originals from the original locations. More like a jack-of-all-trades-master-of-none kinda thing.

I'm not sure that I could eat "violated chicken"! :(

It's wonderful. As the chicken cooks the beer boils off and keeps the chicken incredibly moist and yummy. We make lemon chicken a very similar way, but use water and garlic and lemon that we crush and put in a can.

And if you can't eat that, you better never have turkey with stuffing. (Real stuffing, stuffed up the bird, not fake in a pan stuffing).

I find too many people cover cabbage rolls with tomato sauce. Tomato sauces cause me serious indigestion. The traditional sour creme topping tastes great and doesn't upset my tummy.

You should give it a try.

TBH I don't like stuffing in a chicken or turkey. You end up having to overcook the meat to get the stuffing to cook through. I'd rather stick a quartered onion or lemon up it's arse and cook the stuffing separately.
