what type of file is this?

Last night i was downloading some backups of my DVD's on Bit Torrent, and when i downloaded a backup to the fast and the furious, i recieved a whole folder of files like this:


dvl2f2f.r07
dvl2f2f.r08

The files are named in sequence from like 1 to 100.

Did i get a bunch of junk? or does this need to be uncompressed somehow?

thanks, i didnt think they were RAR files, but it turns out that they are.
