i been using a zip drive to backup my sql databases on my win2k advan. for the last few months but the databases have extended into more than 3 disks, and it doesnt backup the entire system. i was thinking of getting a tape drive, i use a 4gb HD anyone have any suggestions of what i should use to backup the server?

I think that the type you should get is 4mm, as for the brand of drive, I really don't know. Where I work, we have some old Seagate Python tape drives that we use (3 external and 1 internal) and it does the job. It would probably have to be a SCSI drive because you'd want fast transfers. Hope this helps.

Get another hardrive to backup along with norton gohst, it will be cheaper than buying a backup tape drive, aand you could use the rest of the drive for Downloads or pictures or whatever.

3 zip disks=750MB. or 300MB(dep on if you have Zip100 or 250). One CD-R can fit that using compression.
