I heard ssx is the best game out right now, haven't played it though.

I went and bought SSX and NHL 2001. SSX is a great game and NHL
2001 is quite good but nearly identical to the current PC version
and the menu system is inferior than the one in NHL 2000.

I've rented both Midnight Club Street Racing and Smuggler's Run
and wasn't incredibly impressed by either game. However, MCSR
is certainly the better of thsee two.

A lot of the PS2's first "big" titles won't be coming out until
at least the first quarter of next year, those include:
The Bouncer (Square - Cinematic Fighter), Zone of Endors (Konami -
Mech Combat game from the MGS2 team), Gran Tursimo 3 (Sony - Racing)
and Onimusha (Capcom - Resident Evil... but you're a Samurai).
All of those games are supposed to come out here between January
and March.

I got my PS2 @ launch and I picked up Tekken Tag Tournament & NHL 2001, NHL is great, I wasnt impressed w/ Madden. A friend of mine has Dead Or Alive 2 *japanese, the bast@rd has an american system and a japanese system :disgust:* and Street Fighter EX 3, they are awesome as well. The two games I am waiting for are Metal Gear Solid 2 and Ultimate Fighting Championship.
