Interesting to think that "Rick Roll" would have never had been a thing if it had a 30 second commercial in front of it. The beauty in being Rick Rolled is that you hear the drums almost instantly after you clicked a link.

Exactly. The song is catchy like Astley's, but the video is what really makes it. This song and video popped into my mind as soon as I saw the thread.

Do you know the story behind it? It's the worst video editing ever. I'd expect more from someone of Hasselhoff's stature.
