Phillips screwdriver, tweezers for jumpers, and occaisionly a little flathead screwdriver for hard to reach dipswitchs. That's it I think
Same here. I usually only use a phillips screwdriver, but sometimes a pair of tweezers. Rarely is a little flathead screwdriver needed in my case, since I only work on my own PCs, which are new enough not to use dip switches. 😀

one of those flipable screwdrivers with 2 diff size phillips and 2 diff size flathead, a small flathead, needle-nose pliars, steak knife (for cutting boxes open), razor blade and fluid-free lense cloth cleaning and alchohol and detergent and rag for AS application

A phillips head screwdriver, a pair of scissors, tweezers, a sharp razor blade for applying thermal compound, 1000-2000 grit sandpaper for lapping a heatsink, rubbing compound to get a mirror smooth heatsink, pure isopropanol for cleaning parts, flat-head screwdriver, anti-static wrist band, patience, and BEER. 😀

Phillips screwdrivers of all types. then then seceret lock-type heads [stars, star w/ dimple, hex, etc]
then solderin gun [butane is fine get 20$ model ] and wire strippers. maybe a $100 molex crimp tool

Craftsman (hey, only the best) medium-sized Philips screwdriver for most everything, generic flathead for HSF, toothpick for thermal paste, and a can of DustOff. 🙂

Ratcheting multi-tip screwdriver, regular and needlenose pliers, tweezers...hmm maybe a small flathead screwdriver. And I always work barefoot at home - I use my feet quite a lot to hold things in place, freeing up both hands to work on it. I don't know what I'm going to do when I get a real job in this stuff, cause I use my feet like extra hands quite a bit.😀

Last fall I put two TBird computers together with a steak knife, butter knife and spoon. It got the job done but after that I went and bought a screwdriver set.

Wow, you must have quite solid utensils. My cheap-o ones would bend trying to install the hsf 😀

Most of the time I use one of those 4-in-1 combo screwdrivers that has a hex head when the bit is removed. Works great on all screws. I also keep a felt tip pen, some small tie-wraps, and a couple pairs of hemostats or long and skinny needle nose pliers handy for jumpers and dropped screws. I never use magnatized screwdrivers inside a computer.

I usually get by with a Philips screwdriver, needlenose pliers and a torch. Occasionally I might need some tweezers so I'll take them out of my swiss army knife.

the tool i use for about 90% of what i do is the flat blade on my swiss army knife...takes out phillips case screws no problem
then you can use the tweezers and even use the blade for stripping wires

I built three computers using Phillips/Flatbed combo screw driver. Absolutley nothing else, from opening the boxes to loading in windows this is actually all I used.
