What is a good program to use so I can take one of my favorite mp3's and record like 30 seconds of it and then convert it? Thanks for any ideas.

convert it to what? midi? There are no programs that convert mp3 to midi, sorry. I've been looking for months and the few that I found don't work at all.

My phone uses MP3s for it's ringtones, so I just use audacity to cut out the section I want and put the file on the phone.

Actually the one comes pretty crippled from Verizon to try to force you to use their GetItNow crap, but a USB datacable and a little googling and you can enable all of the good stuff.

I use mp3trim, then use itunes to convert it to .m4a. I then send it to my phone.
