I have 5 computers at home, symantec's new product activation requires i buy 1 package per computer. If i had 5 incomes this'd be fine, but i only have 1 income. Any suggestions on a comparable anti virus program?

I've been on AVG for a while also, no complaints (though I never had a virus before installing it :D).

not that i condone, but "i heard about someone said" there's a keygen that simply requires you to disconnect your inet connection and enter the generated key. in essence, a way to get around activation, since you are buying legit copies, right *wink wink*

It's useful for me.

Yea, i know, but it's just that every week there is an AV question and the MODS refuse to sticky an AV thread for people

Alternatively, if you want to use Norton's product, you can do it legally, and buy copies for each computer *wink wink. Of course, no one considers that's why there is activation, to attempt to stop just such practices. If you want to use Norton's (or anyone elses) software, use it like the EULA states, which you must agree to at install. Or, use the free products. I hear AVG is very good, though I prefer to stick with NAV.

Just keep using the 2003 version of NAV. They will continue to support it. When they stop - change.
