Different brands like sony, fuji, and verbatim manufacture and label discs made with a company's cdr dye.
Fuji-made in japan uses TY
Verbatim-Datalife Plus uses mitsubishi chemicals dye
If you have a question about a specific brand it would be easier to help.
It was a General statement King as I have been to both Country's and seen some operations...Have you? 😉 In Taiwan there are only like 3-5 Manufactures that produce them then they use different Labels while their Government is not so strick on inspection...while in Japan their places are like Hospitals and their Gov is a little different (not that either is better.
Edit= I got side tracked off the issue so go ahead and light the fire cause King does make 1 valid point 😉...Meanwhile more info on CDRS can be seen and read @ Burnworld and also I have a link on the types and quality of various CDR's ...post when and if I find it 🙂
is japan and taiwan the only places where cdr's are mostly being manufactured? so basically, japan made cdr's generally are better than cdr's made in taiwan?
the links for the qualities of various cdr's would be most helpful led. =)
Those are the 2 Major Players but there are some Manufactured in Mexico and Europe. Here's the Link of Various Labels and Another on Failed High Speed but I can not find the other one on this Puter either as to the testing which had very interesting facts about brands switch Manufactures and the longevity of the media...
for example, Mitsubishi Chemical has both factory in Japan and Taiwan.
