What to get

So i'm not sure what to get. I saw on tigerdirect.com that they have a deal for Q6600 processor with a free XFX nforce 680i motherboard. It supports up to 800 Mhz DDR 2 and FSB 1333Mhz

My other option i was looking at was getting a

This can support quadcore for the future but if it got this i'd proly go for E6600 core 2 duo instead of quad. Also this one supports DDR3 1333MhZ. Of course the 2nd option would be more expensive and i'd proly not get DDR3 at the time. Would it make much of a difference? or should i go with the quad core and use DDR2 800Mhz? thanks

I wouldn't personally call that a "deal". Q6600 will drop to around $266 on July 22nd and you could get a Gigabyte GA-P35C board with it for $160 which supports both DDR2 and DDR3, seems like a more reasonable choice to me.
