What to get someone starting college?

My cousin's starting college at UT Austin and I don't know what to get him. I don't see him much since we live about 6 states away. I don't know if he'll be living on or off campus. I don't know if he's going to get a desktop or a laptop. I know there are lots of high schoolers here, what would you guys want?
