Indeed. That shit may be funny at 30 or whatever, but at fifty, it probably starts to hit a bit too close to home.

It really depends on the guy's sense of humor. Some people just don't understand "gag gifts," while others enjoy them immensely.

What does the guy do? Career? Recreationally? What type of personality is he?

IMO, gag gifts are really only good when they're well thought out and fit the person, otherwise, they're just a waste of time & money, and often, a waste of a good friendship.
