Here's my quandary...

I have two video cards currently, a sapphire 9500 np 128mb that does not hack to 9700 yet overclocks great, and an OEM 9700 pro with rather dubious overclocking ability.

I want a card that both has good power at stock speeds (like the 9700pro) and it modable & o\c'able like my 9500np.

I don't know crap about what nvidia has out right now... and the mods I've seen done to the 9700 tempt me...

Just looking for some suggestions...

If you're asking which to use...Use the 9700 pro, even at stock speeds it is a great video card.

9800 pro or a 5900 ultra....but it really is a misallocation of funds :)

is the system in your sig what youre using these in? get more ram man, you only have 256 meg and thatll be more noticeable , and worthwhile, than a video upgrade
a larger hd with a 8mb buffer might be slightly noticeable as well during load times for some larger games, though is about as necessary as a better card than a 9700 pro....perhaps some ram, another 40 gig drive (hey, does that mobo support raid? :) ) and some kickass sound options like an eudigy and some good speakers....

just seems like a waste of your time buying a card better than the 9700 pro

Lol, my system rigs a a bit out of date...

I have 768mb of corsair now, have a Abit NF7-S Ultra on the way, got a DVD drive, and that GF4 is long gone.

I really like screwing around modding stuff, but I'd like a better platform than the 9500 non-pro... and my 9700 pro seems to have no potential for overclocking compared to most.

Thinking about it, I think I'm gonna keep the 9500 np and stick a SK7 or something like that on it :D

I'm waiting for some better 10000 rpm SATA drives to come out before I upgrade my harddrive... **** I've got 40 gigs and only use about 15:eek:
