What to do with my old cellphone?

Ok, I have a cellphone that mummy and daddy bought me in 1997. The service is no longer active and I was wondering if there was anything I can do with this phone other than tossing it out or destroying it.

One of the womens' shelters here in Charlotte takes old cellphones, maybe there is something similar near you.

I actually saw something on TV about this the other day. You should give the phone to someone that doesnt have one so so that they can have it to make a phone call to 911 in case of an emergency. The phone does not have to be activated in order to place a call to 911.

Sorry, but that is hilarious...😀

I have an old school Motorola flip phone which I paid $130 for like 7 years ago when they charged $29.99 a month for 60 minutes.

Damn those were the days.

Why is this hilarious? The women's shelter gives it to the women for making 911 calls.

btw, i would keep it. 25 years from now you can show it to your kids on your way to mars. y'all can laugh your asses off on that old clunky technology. 🙂

You can donate it to the link below and get a Tax charity donation credit. They seem to have alot of local places to bring these phones.

Oh.. I guess I don't benefit anything though.. I was thinking more along the line of things that would get me$$$$$$ 😀

For a 1997 phone you'd be lucky to get $10. Just donate the phone to a woman's shelter and maybe help someone else.:disgust:

You should donate it. However cellphones are pretty cheap these days, so I wonder anybody will take it. Else you can NUKE it in your microwave (do the same thing you did with your K7S5A)
