The roomates I am living with this quarter are pretty destructive. In 2 months already they have spray painted the door and a table in the common room, broken an electric socket faceplate, threw up all over the lounge and on expensive chairs, ripped down a billboard(and managed to leave a chunk of metal torn in such a position that it's easy to poke yourself on), and tore down all the event posters on the dorm floor. These things were done by 2-3 people in my suite. I don't want to be a tattletale, but enough is enough and I don't want to get hit with a fine from housing. These people probably won't respond to my request for them to stop damaging stuff, so I'm at a loss of what to do. I would appreciate any suggestions from ATOT.

Sorry for no pics in advance, as I don't have a camera.

Which is almost guaranteed to happen if you don't speak up. If you're not close to them then fuck 'em. They need some growing up to do. Otherwise have yourself transferred elsewhere.

Your choices are very simple... ignore the problem and get fucked or report the problem and don't.

Seems very simple to me.

When I lived in the dorms, everyone had already put down a $100 damage deposit with their original housing fees for the year. Tons of damage was done and it ended up costing each person around $25 dollars out of their deposit. It wasn't even worth worrying about. Hell, I even accidentally put a hole in the wall the size of my upper arm when I leaned on one of our walls. The school patched it up just as weak as before with sheet rock and plaster. $150 dollars just for that one hole.

Talk to your RA about it. If they are competent you should be able to work something out

Sadly, the RA is fairly incompetent. She's not at all the type of person anyone would feel comfortable approaching with a problem. She would be more apt to be confused and overwhelmed by the situation, and thus would handle it very poorly. The only person worth talking to is either another RA or the hall director, either of which lead straight back to me.

Just talk to the RA or hall director to get this shit documented. If you remain silent until the end of your residence there, you're going to have split the costs of repairs equally with your idiot roomies. If you're fine with that then just keep on doing nothing.

Tell the RA. If your firends get pissed, who cares. They are the idiots and from hat you say, they arn't much of good friends.

Oh, are they idiots or bad drunks?

tho since you already bitched to the roommates, they will probably know

Ananonymous tip would only lead to him being lumped in with his idiot roommates, and sharing the fine. Whatever he does he has to make it clear that he was not a part of the problem.

Not if the anonymous tip named the two perps.
