Can you think of anything to use these for?

I have five of these systems on ebay for dirt cheap but since I have zero bids maybe they are not useful anymore?

It seems like at least 32GB ram could be good for caching or something?

Dual XEON X5492 3.4GHz, 12MB cache, 1600 MHz FSB
32GB FBDIMM DDR2 800 REG ECC (8 − 4GB FBDIMMS)
Nvidia GeForce® 280 GTX 1GB PCI−E
300GB 10,000rpm SATA Drive
Microsoft Windows Vista Ultimate Edition 64−Bit

The chips themselves still fetch a pretty penny. Folks are still willing to pay $300-$350 just for the CPU.

Probably can use it for video encoding or Photoshop. Gaming should be doable too, along with lighter tasks.

I think you should part these rigs and sell the parts separately.

Maybe more people will bite that way.

id like to see u guys show him how?

Op the reason why that system wont sell, is most likely people are looking at westmere/gulftowns which are priced below your asking price.
Your platform got stomped hardcore because its not even an i7 family.
