My screen no longer works on my dell inspiron E1405. Everything else has been tested on it and works fine. I was wondering if there was a way I could sell this thing for parts or get a cheap replacement screen for it.

Dell Inspiron E1405 Specs as reviewed:

* Processor: Intel Core Duo T2300 (1.66Ghz)
* Hard Drive: 60GB 5400RPM SATA
* Screen: 14" WXGA+ (1440 x 900) with Trulife
* Memory: 1GB DDR533
* Graphics: Intel Integrated GMA 950
* Optical Drive: 24x CD-RW/8x DVD-RW
* Battery: 6-Cell
* Wireless: Intel 3945 802.11a/b/g

Replacement screen can run you anywhere from $300 to $600. So yuo may as well sell it but don't expect more then about $50. But if its go a video out jack, as most laptops do, then throw a monitor on it and uses it as the house.

you might just need a backlight. shine a flashlight at your screen and if you can see the windows and writing, if you can your backlight is most likely fried. google the model of your laptop and you should find any number of places to buy from. pell technologies is just one that comes to mind when i was looking for one for an older compaq lappy.

could be the inverter too. both can be had for less than the cost of a new screen.
