What to do with appraisal cetificate on jewelry given as a gift?

I bought a Sapphire necklace for a friends' birthday present. I have an appraisal certificate from the jewelry store (Shane Company, its a chain, if your curious). I gave her the necklace already, but I am wondering if I should give her the appraisal certificate? It really isn't worth enough to be insured, but they do have a lifetime guarantee and free cleaning service which I think requires the certificate. So do I give her the certificate? I think it would be kind of tacky, but it would make things easier if she wanted to take advantage of the free cleanings or needed to use the guarantee. What do you think?
