What to do with an old p200. PIC

I pulled all the 'usable' components, namely the screws, cables, cd-rom drive, and the NIC.

Amazingly enough, this old rig still used a 75watt PS, a passive heatsink and no thermal paste. Ah, simpler days. In any case, I also pulled the CPU ot for nostalgia and I'm thinking about turning it into a keychain, unless someone has a better idea...

Anyway, has anyone around here done this? Should I bother cutting off the pins? Perhaps I could de-solder them somehow? Wire snippers or a saw?

Also, what type of bit should I use to drill a hole in this baby?

I would take it to a machine shop or metal working shop, and see if they could use a laser to cut a hole.

i would just bend the pins down and attach something you could loop a keychain through to the chip rather than trying to pull each pin and drilling on it

Hmm...I don't know if I have access to a metal working shop, I'll have to think about where I could get a laser cutter.

This may be a really dumb question, but could a laser cutter also cut the pins off the processor?

Having read that, surely there must be a better way to clear the pins out. Both faster and one that will leave less jaggedy pin stubs.

Google reveals an option with a dremel and a blow torch, but that also seems infeasible, especially considering I don't have a dremel.

Ah ha! I got it. Pull out the pins with needle nose pliers, and sand the bottom on a flat surface with high grade sand paper.

As I said above, if I want a linux box, I'll pull the BP6 with a celery 466 I have out of the closet.
