So, the other day I stumbled upon an extra 120mm fan. I have no idea were it came from, but I just found it lying around. It is this fan. I know it's a TT, maybe it came with something I got from them, no idea and can't remember. (maby too many 's.)

Anyway, I also have this case. It's a nice case, just wondering were I should put my extra fan? An extra intake? Or replace the 1400rpm outtake with this 2800rpm outtake and then use the outtake fan and make that an intake fan. Got that??? :p

Just tell me what/were I should put it.

Do you really need to install another fan? Are you having any problems with you current cooling setup???

outtake = exhaust. lol. Using similar wording makes it confusing. Just put it as an intake. Positive pressure means more air circulating in your PC and even if its warm air, higher convection alone will lower your temps marginally.

I second the positive pressure notion. I have negative in my case and the dust buildup rate is incredible.

I could also replace the rear "exaust" fan with this faster one and then put the old rear exaust fan as an intake fan.

Here is my current setup:

1x120mm Exaust, 2x92mm "outtake" :p, 120mm fan on PSU "outtake" ;) (just trying to piss you off), and then 1x120mm intake.

So basically 4 exhaust fans with 1 intake. I guess I should use it as another intake.
Or replace the exhaust fan with the faster one and then use the fan I replaced as another intake.

AAAAAAAAARGH! MUST RESIST!!!!!!!!!!! ;)

That's a pretty loud fan, don't know what other models you're using so who knows, may be quieter. Whatever you do make sure you keep it at low RPMs.

Looking at the case, I'm assuming you've got 1x120 front intake, 1x120 and 1x92 back exhaust, and then...1x92 top exhaust?

Add the other 120 to the front if you can fit or mod it. If the stock setup has stock 92mm screw holes though you can just move that 92mm fan to the front and replace your rear 120mm with the one you just found, leaving the top 92mm slot open.

My 2c.

i have those fans in my soprano. I added one for intake in the extra CD drive bays, and changed out the 80mm side fan with a 120 for cpu air. unless you have a sideways (scythe ninja, zalman cpns, etc.) cpu cooler, its invaluable to have an efficient side intake to get the freshest air where it matters most.

No side intake on that case, and with the plexi window design I wouldn't recommend it.

as long as it fits, it would be fine
sopranos have a plexi window, and i just cut a larger hole.

Personally, I'd vanalise that what looks like a duct in the front panel and have it behind there.

But that's just me. You could find some obscure method of mounting it in the same was as the drive caddies work in these chassis.
