LOL I was thinking the same thing. I think the average is like 3%.
Come to think of it I would not have even made a thread telling people that I only got a 1.8% raise.

you don't do anything because you haven't really gotten a raise with the rise of inflation on other goods like gas as you said.

Well I only got a 1.2% "competitive wage increase," however, I had a 5% increase when I took a marginal promotion, and will have another at my annual review.

I can live with that.

1.8% raise with a 1% drop in employer 401(k) contrib is like no raise at all. Move on.
