Hello! Downtown Toronto resident speaking. 🙂

I like the suggestion of doing the CN Tower and Steamwhistle Brewery (they're about a minute's walk apart). I'd also add skating at the Harbourfront Centre - you can rent skates there for a couple of bucks, and it's literally on the lake.

Restaurants in this city are exceptional - let me give you a rundown of the highlights.

Try lunch at CANOE or FRANK Restaurant - both are rather pricey but are amongst the best in the city and worth the price of admission. For dinner, I had my Valentine's Day dinner at Sidecar. The Pomengranate is an interesting option that offers Persian food. For dinner and dancing (swing, blues and jazz), how about Reservoir Lounge?

Finally: I'd spend at least one evening having drinks at Panorama Lounge, located on the 51st floor of a central downtown skyscraper - it offers an unparalleled view of the city.

If you want an interesting dinner experience book a reservation at O Noir. The food is fantastic and you eat in the absolute dark, all the waiters are blind.

Beat me to it...

In all seriousness.. Go on the Steamwhistle brewery tour. Excellent beer, pretty cool swag, and you get 2 free small pints with it. (It's right beside the Rogers Centre)

NO. NO. NO.

Steamwhistle is possibly the worst beer I have ever had. Disgusting. Don't waste your money on something that should be selling as a cheap-o beer but is priced as a premium one.

I agree 100% with this statement, skunky taste

Thanks!

You guys have given me a lot of choices, and decisions now. 🙂

Too bad it's winter or I would have recommended the Toronto Zoo. Most of the animals are off exhibit due to weather.

For some reason most of the animals don't like being outside in sub-zero temperatures

It is a good hike if you like walking without seeing too many animals

Haha.... I like it.... Some people think Guinness is heavy too, when infact it is not. Whatever man. To each their own.

go to smokeless joes just off of John Street.

Great place with lots of fun beers, and very fun atmosphere!

Agreed. Great place. Then go see the nightlife on College street, the Toronto nightlife has been moving from big clubs to the smaller ones on College. I recommend Li'ly 😛

I live a two minute walk from St. Lawrence Market and don't really get the fuss. True, I buy my meat, cheese, produce and olive oil there, but I also get out of these as quickly as I can - it's packed and anything but visually appealing. Hours are awful too.

I like it. It's a buck cheaper than Heineken, which is my absolute favourite. Tastes kinda weird after it gets warmer though.

If you do go to St Lawrence market, do get a Peameal Bacon Sandwich.

First restaurant to the right of the door. They have a takeout stand at the back of the restaurant.

If you are into food, let me know 🙂
