What to do in Monterey, CA?

I'm planning on going camping this weekend to Monterey with my wife. Planning on leaving Sac on Friday morning, and getting there by noon. What's there to do in Monterey besides the aquarium?

rent a bike and cruise down 17 mile drive........... very nice.

Also Bubba Gump Restaurant

yeah 17 mile drive very very nice...you can also stop by santa cruz on the way back and go to the mystery spot, some outlets nearby you can do some shopping, hrm thats all i can think of.

17 mile drive, also lots of bike/walking paths near the beach, very beautiful.

Just spend time around there and Carmel, some of the most beautiful places in the country I think.

Ah yeah I forgot, Ocean Blvd. in Carmel for shopping/dining/walking around.

Go down to the Wharf, check out the multitude of great resteraunts, Go on a fishing Boat, Check out the numerous Night Clubs, Go to Carmel, Break into Clint Eastwoods home.

Make sure you visit Pt Lobos State Park (link) - it's super cool, great for some easy day hiking...

Eat, check out the seals, take a Charter (Whale Watching or fishing) Shop.

Sounds like a cool place. I was just in Salt Lake City.... I asked a couple of people what they liked to do for fun around SLC and they said, "I'm going to Vegas in a month!" or "I'm going to L.A. soon"....

It was depressing, but I still managed to drink enough 3.2% beer to have a good time.

Have fun in Monterey!!!! At least it ain't SLC!

WTF? You go to SLC and don't look up any ATer's? I'm sure EA or I could have found you something better to do.

Oh, I almost forgot. There's a really cool wine-tasting shop right on Cannery Row. It has floor to ceiling windows looking out on the Monterey Bay. For just a few bucks you can sip wine and enjoy the great view...
