I'll chime in, too. I've been to many places in the U.S. and guess what...there all the same f**king thing. Every town has bars, clubs, etc. But that's not a comment for the OP of this thread. I'll be back in town for Christmas and your welcome to hang with us. If you've been to the Velvet Dog you can venture to Westport, too. And how can you not go to the Plaza during the holidays...that's a sin. I'm staying at my old apartment which is walking distance from the Plaza, Westport, and the Nelson Art Gallery.
It'll be cool because you sound like a total liberal, I'm completely independent, and the guy I'm staying with in KC is almost off the edge of the right. I find that's always the best combo though. PM me...I'll be around the week after Christmas before heading back to FL.

I didn't know Johnny Dare had a bar. If you don't know yet he's a morning shock jock on 98.9. I can only imagine the crowd there. The thing is he had a lot of listeners of all types so I'm sure it's not a biker bar. We usually go to Kelly's in Westport because it's close and it's cheap. You can usually get a 32oz for about 2.25 which is good for Westport.

Come to Lawrence some time. Douglas County is one of two counties in Kansas that Kerry won (the other is heavily urban Wyandotte in KCK).
KU is here, and thus Lawrence is very much a college town. If you're into things like art and music and plays then you will find much to do here. There are also a lot of great bars around if that is your thing. We've got a wide variety of restaurants and there's lots of good shopping on Mass. St.

Johnny Dare's was kind of dissapointing, but then again we had high expectations from the talk on the show. It is right near Kelly's IIRC.

Hoopers is excellent. LC's has the best cheap BBQ. 75th st Brewery is the best brewpub. Harrys has good martinis and great scotch selection. Old Chicago has one of the best beer selections as does Barleys. O'Dowds is pretty good. Can't beat Ruth's Chris on the plaza for steat. J. Giblerts is also good for steak. Buffalo Wild Wings is fun on Saturdays and it's right across the street from Fox and Hound.

Dude, I am talking about Group S 3 x and Gangbangs - we have swinging parties every saturday - single men are usually not welcome - unless u have something to offer ! But its understandable if you are not into this lifestyle ...
as far as restaurants go: hres my pick: Thai Place on 87th and Antioch in OP, KS.

We were surprised too ... there are actually more groups/ clubs that subscribe to this lifestyle than u see on yahoo ... lots of ppl are surprised to see this going on in the bible belt ... I can give you links to the websites but they are run by ppl who dont want free publicity - pm me and i will email those to you ...
with the new years eve coming up .. there is no shortage of such events ... the one we are going to has the cliched TOGA theme
as far as something to offer ... if you can carry a nice conversation, are clean and groomed, drugs and disease free ... thats all thats needed ... a very added bonus is the size of ur endowment (yes, it does matter to some - and it helps in getting access)
I started as a single male (and non-white), it was hard to get the invites but We are regular now - but once u r in nobaody cares about ur race ... its the first invite thats hard to get ...imho ...
