Does Royal Oak have any good restaurants?

Sure...nothing GREAT, but a handful of good restaurants. From Bastones, to Andiamos, to all of the ones on Main plus the ones off of Washington (Prontos, for instance).

Cattlegod also mentioned Blackfinn - that opened up right near when I moved away but my friends all like it.

Thanks, I moved away in 81 and it was a nice quiet little town at the time. My relatives tell me that it's gone upscale since then.

Ah, you heard I was coming in 82, so you jetted. I see how it is.

Made it to Detroit - I did think about doing the scenic route via 8 Mile but the fiancee thought it would be a bad move.

Anyhow, looks like we are going to be getting some beer . . . . probably try Dick O'Dow's and/or Bastone.
