What to do for "AT" type future mobo.

I was wondering how many other people may be in my position. I have an excellent full tower "AT" style case that will go to waste if I can't find a new mobo to put in it once my ASUS P/I-P55T2P4 bites it. At this time I have a K6-2 400 running with 64mb. of ram in this system and it works well for the age (almost 4yrs. old now).
My question is this... will any manufacturer still make "AT" style motherboards that I can use in this case in the future or is the "AT" mobo destined to die out soon?
I know no one has a crystal ball but if someone in the know can tell me when I have to think about buying a newer mobo for this case before I am left shopping online auction sites for used parts.
My concern stems from some news on one of the ASUS ng's about the T2P4's clock battery dying and the battery is integrated with the RTC so to replace the battery you need to solder in a new RTC. I don't think that would be a viable solution for me so when this finally happens I would like to replace the mobo with something that will allow me to keep using this case.

AT mobos are headed out. Your next upgrade will include a new case.

If you look around you should be able to modify case to atx with a new PS and switch. Also some sheetmetal modification will be order. But compared to the price of a new full-tower atx this will be a viable option.

The AT style is definitely on the way out, although several manufacturers offer more modern boards in the baby-at format, apparently just for people in your circumstances. I think that a few are available in s370 configuration, maybe from Soyo...

As time goes by, your choices will become more limited, and before too much longer, you will be stuck with buying new everything, maybe not such a bad thing....

Thanks for the repy, Enigma. I have considered this option but due to my location where I live (lets just call it "out in the sticks&quot I would have to send away for parts that I would require for moding my full tower case. I do have a local little computer shop but they don't handle things like spare switches and stuff. The power supply I would be able to get from them though, so this was going to be a last resort option for me.

Thanks for the tip on the Soyo boards, Jhhnn. I'll check into those and see what the dollar factor is. If going with a S370 configuration is going to cost me as much (I'll need a new processor, motherboard and ram) or at least close to as much as a new case with Duron, mobo, and ram... well, then I may go the Duron route.
