I'm going to take off the heat sink on my EVGA 7800GT, remove the thermal compound from the GPU, and apply some Arctic Silver 5. I'm good with all this.
Now, I'm pretty sure the memory modules have thermal pads. Will removing the heatsink necessitate that I do anything to the thermal pads? Will they be fine or must they be replaced?
Should I just remove the pads and add some Arctic Silver 5 to them too?
