It's summer time, and those giant pictures of bloody babies are all over town.

I'm all for free speech and right to protest, but if it's illegal for me to be naked or even swear in public - it should be illegal for those sick fvcks to hold up those posters in public.
Yesterday my daughter caught a glimpse of the anti-abortion van (also loaded with graphic pics)
she got scared and even had nightmares last night and she was scared to go to gymnastics today because she didn't want to see the pictures again. She's 7, and now scarred because of it.

As or right now, I am really pissed about this crap.
It's ironic, on an idiotic level that these people are "protecting the children" by holding up these graphic signs.........that scar the fvckin children!

What can i do about this?
I've contemplated getting a doll, wrapping a coat hanger around it's neck, covering it in ketchup and tossing it out the window when i drive by....but thats stooping to their level.
Paintball would be fun, but that's dangerous and immature as well.

is there anything I can do, legally, about this?

What if i got a group of people together with large pure black signs and just went and stood in front of them?

can you please show me law that says i can't "even swear in public "?

technically it's not illegal via the free speech, but many have been ticketed or arrested for it
if they fight it, it will get thrown out
nice job wasting your 2nd post on nitpicking and going off topic though

btw, the protestors i speak of are currently in a giant church/school campus that sits at the intersection of two high traffic streets
the protestors often march between the cars when the light is red

i'm not against free speech by any means..so the uber patriotic world war I veterens can shut it
the line is crossed when publicly offensive material forces me to shield my child's eyes
it forces me to explain things that her little mind is not ready for

if I went to a grade school and taught the kids sex ed with real pictures - i'd get murdered by angry parents
why should they be allowed to subject innocent kids to these images? It oversteps my boundaries as a parent.

People get busted for watching porn in their bling bling SUVs while driving down the road because outsiders can look in and be exposed to the graphical content...yet these smacktards hold up disturbing photos of dead bloody babies!!!

Honestly, I'd be less offended if they were holding up porn. At least porn is related to a fact of life and not a belief.
"well kid, what you saw in THAT picture is how babies are made...even you!" seems better than "well, thats a dead baby that is most likely the result of a mis-carriage"
It's hard for my daughter because my wife is pregnant, the daughter is worried that OUR baby will come out like that. Explaining this stuff to a 7year old is tough...the girl already knows her multiplication tables up to 10, but she's not ready for the whole abortion thing (or porn for that matter)

I bet with the right lawyer you could sue them for the mental anguish your daughter has experienced or things like that.

Possibly...but i don't know if i want to further the trauma with the kidlett
i'd like her to get a shallow enough understanding of it to lose the fear and forget about it.

i don't want it to be a lifelong memory, and with mental doctors and court cases - she'd never forget it

I have never had a problem with protestors to be honest with you. Abortion protestors do cross the line on occassion, but I never had a problem with them in specific until one fateful day.....

My wife and I went to the jewelry store to pick up our wedding rings one day. This was back when we were engaged. Now, the entrance to this store is right next to the entrance to an abortion clinic. Anyway, we were walking up to the store entrance, and some abortion protestors stopped us and begged us not to kill our children. I explained we were only going to the jewelry store and to leave us alone. These people got upset. Apparently, others ahead of us said that and then walked into the clinic. My wife and I were called baby killers on the way into the store. I flashed them the middle finger when we walked into the store, and made sure they heard a couple choice colorful metaphores on the way back to our car.

Since then, I have despised these protestors.

Isn't that kind of like saying guns should be outlawed because people protest NRA meetings?

Okay, that is cool. As long as we can agree to disagree.

Please continue.

It's not about being cool, it's about minding your own business.

Being gay is neither cool or uncool

Killing babies is definite uncool

Not believing in god is way cool

Wanting to see the horrified remains of abortions is way uncool

Agreed

Killing babies is definite uncool

Agreed. However, I have no right to tell a pregnant woman what she may, and may not do with her body.

Not believing in god is way cool

Nope. It is neither cool or uncool.

Wanting to see the horrified remains of abortions is way uncool

Agreed.

Well, if we can spot the ones who are not crazy or foaming-at-the-mouth zealots, we should make them adopt a child.

If they are pro-life then they should share the burden of what to do with all those children who are alive and without parents.

Yes, yes indeed.
