I hate ketchup, catsup, and al lother varieties of processed tomato/vinegar product.

But... I need soemthing to dip my popcorn shrimp into.

I hate ketchup too, so remove the ketchup from this recipe and replace it with mayonnaise and it's pretty close to a dip I make for similar fried items. Very delicious.

Give the Thai Sweet Chili sauce a try -

You can buy it in pretty much any grocery store. Its reddish-pink in color with chili flakes floating in it. Sweet with a bit of heat.

I'd alternate between malt vinegar and ranch. Tangy...cool...acid...cool. Works the same as malt vinegar and tartar with fried fish. Amazing flavor really.
