What to carry CD's in when on the road (in your car)?

When traveling, what do you guys store your DVD's and CD's in? In college I had a CaseLogic cd carrier with a poly sleeves, and because of the heat my CD's stuck to the plastic. When I pulled the CD's out, much of the paint on the label side stuck to the lining, ruining my CD's.
A couple of years ago I bought a case from Laserline that was hard plastic that the disc's would pop into, much like our dvd/cd cases today.

If I am traveling and I want to take a bunch of discs, I don't want to be burdened with the cases, but I also don't want to destroy them. Any recommendations?

CaseLogic makes visor things, they fit with elastic on either or both of your visors and hold some 12 CD's. My sister has one, they are handy.

The visor things are cool....thanks for the warning of the poly sleeves, never knew they'd be that affected by the heat.

Well, I guess I can try the visor thing, but I always thought they looked kind of cheap, plus I like to carry more then 12 CD's in the car. The other reason I like something not attached to the visor is I drive 2 cars and it is nice to just carry it to the other one without thinking about it, or back into the house...

My Xterra's arm rest is just right for storing CDs. Think I can put a least eight in there but I would have to look.

After losing about 40 CDs when my car was stolen, I now exclusively carry burned copies of CDs in the car, in a Case Logic binder. Even if the entire thing gets stolen or lost, I am out maybe $10 for the 40 CDs, as opposed to $500-600.

CDProjects has some really nice cases. I ended up getting 3 of thier 104 disk sport ones and 2 48 disk sport ones (I use the color to ID the contents)

I put them all in 2 large cdprojects 72cd cases. And I keep them out of them sun. Hope my car doesnt get stole or there goes $2000+ cds and a car 🙁
