What is the best price/performance (overclocked performance) of these 2? I want at least 3.2ghz at default voltage, which is more feasible?

from what i've seen and from what i've had i'd say neither. 3.2 is a huge overclock for the 2.4 and i would expect you to increase the voltage in order to get up that high. i have a 2.6 and i can get it up to 3.2 @ 2.55, rock solid at 2.75. not sure if its just my chip or general for all 2.6's. dunno about others but from what i've seen people have been getting a 250 fsb at stock voltage on the 2.4s. anyone else?

All my 2.4C's (2@3.4 and 1 @ 3) are at the stock Vcore. Uping the Vcore has done little for me. At the most a couple of FSB. The best bang for the buck CPU is the 2.4C.

I got a 2.4C running at 3.14, 260 FSB, 1.63 Vcore set auto on Asus P4C800-E Deluxe board.
I am gobsmacked at how cool it runs using standard Intel fan.
I have had no problems yet, but still installing stuff so apart from benchmarking, i aint stressed it proper.
Well worth the money to me.

According to Overclockers.com, 6 out of 20 (30%) 2.6Cs that hit 3200 or above did so at stock voltage, whereas 13 out of 42 (30.95%) 2.4Cs that hit 3200 or above did so at stock voltage.

thanks for the stats dude. i study stats myself, but for school of course. anyway, i plan to buy a Abit Max3. i guess more people are leaning towards 2.4C. sounds good to me.
