This is pretty odd stuff, the carrier that has been the main one for 20 years or so retired, and the replacement carrier has been coming around after 7PM most of the time, and a few days at 8:30 PM.
Before, it was usually 11AM - 2PM at the latest.

This has been going on for a few weeks now, so, I doubt it is the new guy learning the ropes.
Do they allow the carrier to take a dinner break or something at 5PM, and then continue delivering the mail?

Other carriers may be doing bits of his route after they get done with theirs until a permanent replacement is scheduled in.

We used to always get our mail delivered between 2:30 and 3:30 at the latest...starting about 2 months ago, it's rarely here before 5:00...and often after 7:00.

Of course, the usual mailman, (same guy who used to deliver early) says, "Oh, just a lot of mail in the past few days."

Glad to see it isnt just our area that is now getting our mail after 6PM ! Misery loves company.

Used to be around 10:30, then went to 2:30 now in the dark! Of course the carrier has no excuse or idea why.

And they have the audacity to be giving a new service, an email preview of the mail you are GOING to get but somehow takes days.

Even Priority sucks these days taking 5-6 days. I get things from Singapore in 2!

ooops, rant off.

Around 6-7 PM. I usually have mail when I get home from work, but not always. Letter carrier is usually outside carrying a flashlight trying to read the envelopes and who they are addressed to.

I've had the oddball package after 5. But it's rare. Speaking of which I have a 1,500va 480v transformer on the way, can't wait to see this thing. A little overkill but it will pair nicely with my 3kva variac for mains related projects when I want isolation. Going to be skookum as frig.
