Kind of chilling, but really not surprising. I kind of figured that cops spend way too much of their time thinking about getting killed. That why everything gets super escalated and quickly.

The police are leveraging the surveillance tools provided by DHS including listening/tracking from E911 phase 2 in your cell phones and cell enabled cars and devices including GPS. Your homes were penetrated decades ago with your mandatory smoke alarms transmitting via powerline.

They listen to you all the time since DHS funded their embed program putting cops in almost every neighborhood staying at home eavesdropping on the neighbors. Plus they have their covert camera systems that are placed by helo's at night in trees and upon towers to spy on you so welcome to 1984. These things look natural so unless you have caught them deploying them you will be hard pressed to find one unless you can scan for their wireless signals which are encrypted digital just like their police radios.

In FL the cops fly dark all the time hovering over your neighborhoods with their night vision camera systems using that for cover to get their guys around on the ground so they don't get caught effing around with people. If the public only knew the real deal everyone would be up in arms over what they are doing to you right now.

Locally there have been two instances of excessive force used by cops against black citizens. One a black man hospitalized for jay walking. The guy got 600K from the city, the cop fired and plead guilty to assault, no prison time.
The second that occurred only a month ago, the cop has been fired and charged with assault.

The real problem is that both of these cops had been on the force for years and they were field training officers for new recruits, at least one had a rookie with him when that assault occurred.

Yes, well, presumably your personal privacy isn't the most important thing in an emergency.

Typically, calling an emergency number means you want to be found. That's why these technical systems use your phone's location services, including GPS, cell tower triangulation and whatnot.

Btw, would be interesting with some evidence for your implication that smoke detectors are actually surveillance devices... lol Have you taken yours apart and found any microphones yet? lol
