I didnt even know IWill was making one. Unfortunately It doesnt look like it has very good features or anything.. AOpen's looks 50x better, and cheaper too :)

**Stay's focused, must not let other boards distract me from Asus and Gigabyte**

humorously (in a mindless, there's-no-hope-for-me way) I see that the guy's ebay auctions for all those P4G8X boards are now all invalid auction links. Looks like he had to pull out fast. ha..... ha...? :( i need sleep.

Well... Newegg is about to get a shipment in for a P4SAA mobo. Kinda featureless. But Supermicro make rock solid boards. $219. Here is the link.

ThugsRook...I was under the impression that the Asus wasn't stable at 200MHz FSB? That the best FSB speed was 163MHz, although this may have changed since this was from an older review...?

Well, I'd like to end this thread and this period of my life in which I spent waiting for a Granite Bay. I have cancelled my order at AICmicro and ordered a ECS L4S8A2 with 2-day shipping from mwave.com for a total of $89. I can use all my parts and be up and running which will be nice at this point :) I can easily wait for canterwood and springdale, and I betcha they wont have such exorbitant prices as these current non-existant Granite Bay boards carry. Good luck to you all and keep at it.

FYI, at AICmicro.com they did say they expected to get their 8INXP boards in this week.. but I figgured, to hell with em :p

I have to say I think I'll be waiting for the springdale/canterwoods too... hopefully they arrive before summer! When the granite bays do come in, it might be too much not to get one, but whats a couple more months?

at least the p4 3.06 will be much cheaper by then...

533 or 800... thats the question!

You can include me on the "tired of waiting" list.

I went ahead and ordered an Asus P4PE today (despite the cold boot issues), and will wait for Canterwood etc. for the Mobo I REALLY want. Or I might even get a Granite Bay in a month or so if the Canterwoods get pushed back and the Granite bay boards become widely available and cheap(er).

Of course, I needed an Asus board somewhere down the line anyways, as I have an old 300W AT form factor PC Power & Cooling PSU in my #2 box that refuses to die, and is hungry for that Asus molex ATX connector so that it can live on in an ATX system .

Maybe one day we will have another chipset as cool as the BX was--cheap, stable, versatile, and good for about 3 years of quality computing without upgrades .

The GA-8INXP just showed up at Newegg a little while ago. When it initially showed up with no stock I started checking back every couple of minutes. It looks like they got 25 and I got the first 2. They're now down to 13 and dropping fast.

Wow they sold out freakin fast.. kinda high price too. Ah well it's ok for me, just waitin for a good priced dual ddr board in the next year... no hurry now that i bought :) gl to you guys with the boards.. they look sweet. The color looked different on the pictures of the 8inxp that NewEgg had. Slightly brighter plastic shades. Just thought that was interesting

I joined the forums after lurking for years just to tell you guys that the Gigabyte 8inxp is in stock at Mwave.com...ordered two myself. Talked to a salesman to order just to verify that they are in stock(I hate companies that don't update their websites to reflect reality).

Good luck on a January delivery.
Newegg sold out theirs for $255 and MWave has it for $250. NCIX has it listed for $335:

GA-8INXP GIGABYTE 8INXP S478 E7205 DUAL DDR AGP 5PCI SERIAL ATA USB2.0 SOUND LAN Yes $335

Do you mind posting back after you confirm since there are potential buyers lurking?

The only other thing I would verify before ordering from ncix is that the product is in a retail box....that price seems too good to be true...if its white box/oem it may have been neutered.

Thanks for the heads up about Mwave having them in stock.
Like pomonkey, I checked and they showed it as in stock and couldn't stop myself. :(
Forgive me, I'm weak. :D

I'll have to remind my wife about the brand new customized Harley I just got her if she wonders why I need new computer parts. ;)

These guys at ncix seem to be a joke...I just called them (they open at 12:30pm ET!) and even though the site says they are in stock, they actually have to order them (takes up to 5 business days).

I checked www.ncix.com and they show it as $213 USD in stock....until you click the image link.
It shows out of stock then. Great price if they had it in.
