We just had a nice little fire alarm. The staff in my hall just tried lighting the trash incinerator and it smoked up the basement...THEY KNEW WE DID NOT HAVE THE VENTS FOR IT! And to boot, its 8 am on my sleep in day. WTF!:|:|:|

They should institute that alarm every day for you to get out of bed.

Why is there a trash incinerator even installed if you do not have the proper facilities for it? Last I checked (mother works for an electrical contractor), when you have something that big installed, you have to have it and the building that it is installed in inspected by the city/county. If it doesn't meet code standards, you'll be required to remove it or fined. Inspectors will look for proper ventilation, as well.
Either
1) you don't have a legal installation of the incinerator
2) the inspector who inspected it was a little careless by overlooking the venting
