though whoever took those photos rocks. I been playing with the macro setting. have yet to get anything that great. way closer picture of a fly then i ever wanted to see heh

i've definitely seen more deserving of a ban parodies, ( if that was one), than that.

 
He said it was with a 150mm Sigma Macro. Seems a good lens perhaps.

I could do macro with my 70-200 but I'd need extension tubes, and then it would be more for flower, etc. type stuff because focusing would have to be done by moving the camera rather than the focus ring. Trying to get flies or something may be frustrating if they move.

I thought the pics were pretty cool, and aside from title format it's not like it was a parody. I've seen some stupid fvcking parodies go through without so much as even a warning... and then a more or less (by OT standards) legitimate thread gets a guy banned.

I understand that. Hence the eye-roll, maybe a little vague on my part. But I assume they took it as a parody.
 
Wow, that is incredibly retarded if he was banned for that thread. Mods, care to chime in? Why exactly was this deserving of a ban? The content of the post is entirely legit.

nobody said they can't. this actually goes back to the "change of culture" thread. where many wanted clarification on rules.

in one thread we have a guy making a racist remark and nothing happening. yet we have another member post with some great photo shots and get banned.
